Motion Lab

Pose and Animate Minecraft Characters in Motion Lab

Give your Minecraft skin a readable pose and motion before exporting or publishing. Motion helps viewers understand the character faster than a flat front view.

What Is Motion Lab?

Use Motion Lab to give your Minecraft character a readable pose before exporting a snapshot or publishing a skin. A strong pose helps visitors understand the character’s personality faster than a static front-facing view.

Apply Preset Poses to Your Character

  • Idle motions for calm breathing and standing loops.
  • Pose motions such as sitting, power stance, victory, and cover poses.
  • Social gestures such as wave, clap, beckon, and expressive motions.
  • Dance and movement clips such as running, jumping, swimming, and takeoff.
  • Item-specific actions for swords, bows, shields, staffs, and books.

Add Motion Clips and Animations

Motion is not only for preview. You can reuse poses and animations when exporting images, building a showcase, or creating a multi-character stage.

Attach Items and Props

  • Use small idle motions for skin covers and public gallery cards.
  • Use stronger dance and movement motions in Stage instead of default skin covers.
  • For item poses, make sure the hand item still reads clearly from the camera angle.
  • For GIF or video export, choose motions that loop cleanly.

Set Camera Position and Framing

Export Studio

Use motion presets in snapshots, GIFs, videos, and polished export flows.

Showcase

Add simple motions to characters in a public collection-style presentation.

Stage

Use stronger motion in multi-character scenes and performances.

Export GIFs, Videos, or Snapshot Frames

In Export Studio you can render animated GIFs or MP4 videos from the poses and motion clips you set in Motion Lab. Pick motions that loop cleanly, hide editor helpers, and match export duration to the platform where you will share the clip.

Continue to Wallpaper Studio or Export Studio

After motion feels right, open Wallpaper Studio to place the character on a background with intentional framing, or go straight to Export Studio for skin PNGs, snapshots, GIFs, and videos in one finish flow.
